Crashing Burning (c) 2009 Larry Sizemore
Latest effort (a work in progress)—Inspired by frequently denied human tendencies
tossing and turning i wake up burning
i wish you were here
the waiting is so hard, catches me off guard
how much i need you near
the moments that we spend together are too few
when we’re apart i’m only missing you
i’m overpowered and now i must concede
connections between us are now a need
you launch me to a place
where i feel part of the human race
a view so clear i never want to come down
you open a window to my mind
tangled thoughts start to unwind
then your gone and i’m crashing burning to the ground
you are addiction, you’re the affiction
that fills all my time
at once enabled and disabled,
the bond is so sublime
time becomes frozen on the path that we have chosen
when you are away
as you are leaving euphoria deceiving
the coming disarray
